Pure EV, a startup in the electric vehicle industry, has introduced a new extended warranty policy, claiming it is the first of its kind. On Wednesday, the company shared a statement showing that the extended warranty on a few parts of its electric wheels increased significantly.
Pure EV is a two-wheeler manufacturer based in Hyderabad, offering up to four models to Indian customers. The company has 100 touch points throughout India and has the capacity to produce 60,000 electric vehicles a year.
The new extended warranty policy introduced by Pure EV includes key powertrain components, such as the battery, engine, and controller, in all its existing models. For the first EV, the EV battery warranty is now extended to five years compared to the previous three years. Similarly, extended warranty times for other components such as cars and controllers have also been updated. The electric engine will now carry an extended three-year warranty, while the controller will carry an extended two-year warranty instead of the one-year given for both previous components.
