Okaya Faast: Okaya High-Speed Electric Scooter Debuts, with a Range of 150-200 Km and Bookings Now Available
At the EV Expo 2021 in Greater Noida, Okaya Electric Vehicle (Okaya Electric Vehicle) unveiled its new high-speed electric scooter, the Okaya Faast.
Okaya Electric Vehicles, an Indian battery manufacturer based in Gurugram, was one of the exhibitors, with its new high-speed electric scooter and motorcycle on show. Okaya has three electric vehicles in its lineup right now. The Avioniq, Classiq, and Freedum are among them, while the new Faast e-scooter is part of the company’s goal to diversify its product line. The new vehicles on the show are part of the company’s plan to make India a fully electric country in the coming years.
The new Okaya Fast electric scooter’s ex-showroom pricing has been set at ₹ 89,999. State subsidies are not included in this price. The company has begun taking reservations for Okaya Faast. Customers interested in purchasing an electric scooter can do so by paying a nominal fee of ₹ 2,000 on the company’s official website. It is also possible to book it by going to the Okaya EV dealership. The Okaya Faast, according to the makers, promises faster charging and more mileage than competing e-scooters.
Details about the Okaya Faast Electric Scooter
This e-scooter, dubbed Okaya Faast, ₹ 89,999, without Central and State Government incentives. Bookings are now open through the business’s internet portal or through company dealerships for a ₹ 1,999 deposit. The Okaya Faast will compete against the Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, Bounce Infinity E1, and Bajaj Chetak, among others.
Okaya Faast is an electric scooter that is connected to the internet. It comes with LED headlamps with LED DRLs positioned on the front apron, a digital instrument cluster, and a combined brake system, as well as being fully IoT equipped. It has a maxi-scooter design with striking looks from every angle.
It comes with a dual-tone paint scheme in red, grey, green, and white, angular mirrors, a flat footboard, and a single flat seat, as well as designer wheels. Other build features, such as under-seat storage capacity and further specifications, are yet to be published.
Okaya Faast’s Range and Speed
The Okaya Faast electric scooter is equipped with a 4.4kw lithium phosphate battery pack, according to the company. The scooter may be operated for up to 150 kilometers after the battery is fully charged. The manufacturer claims that if the scooter is utilised properly, it can travel 200 kilometers on a single charge. This electric scooter has a top speed of 60-70 kilometers per hour.

A 4.4 kW lithium phosphate battery powers the new e-scooter. It has a top speed of 60-70 km/h and a range of 150 km on a single charge, which may be extended to 200 km under particular riding circumstances, according to the firm.
If this range is confirmed, the Okaya Faast will be one of the longest-running e-scooters in its class. For increased braking performance, the Okaya Faast e-scooter has disc/drum brakes or a mix of both. The front suspension consists of a normal telescopic fork and the rear suspension consists of a dual shock unit.

In just six months, Okaya was able to recruit 225 new dealers.

Furthermore, Okaya claims to have opened over 225 dealerships around the country in its first six months of operation. Okaya is on track to become the fastest-growing domestic EV brand, according to the firm.
Next year, Okaya’ll bring an E-Bike
Okaya Electric Vehicles has established itself as a significant player in the electric two-wheeler market. In just six months, the business has opened 225 stores around the country and built a quick-charging infrastructure for its e-scooters. Along with the Faast e-scooter, the business displayed the Ferrato electric motorcycle at the EV Expo, with intentions to market it in the second quarter of FY22. The Ferrato will be equipped with a 2 kW and 3 kW battery capable of reaching speeds of up to 80-90 km/h and a range of around 100 kilometers.
At the EV Expo, Okaya also showed off their next electric bike, the Ferrato (Ferrato), which will be available in the second quarter of FY22. The e-motorcycle, according to the business, will be more fashionable and powerful than conventional bikes. According to the business, the e-top bike’s speed will be 80-90 kph, and it will have a range of 100 kilometers on a single charge.
