In India, Ignitron Motocorp, a new electric vehicle start-up, has introduced its second electric two-wheeler, the ‘Yoda‘ The motorcycle is aimed at teenagers, with the goal of improving lifestyles and preserving the environment.

“The bike has superb performance, a unique design that adds to the style factor, and a slew of other amenities that make everyday riding easier and more convenient. It will be offered in two colour options: black and red, according to the manufacturer.

Yoda is powered by a 2.88 kWh lithium-ion battery with a top speed of 85 km/h and a range of 120 kilometers. Geo-fencing, battery status, USB charging, Bluetooth, Keyless ignition (remote control), and a digital cluster are just a few of the features available on the bike.

The company’s plant in Manesar, Gurgaon, has already started producing and assembling electric motorcycles. In its first phase, Ignitron Motocorp will be able to produce 40,000 units per year in the fiscal year 2022-23. In this range, Cyborg will release three electric motorcycles, one each in the Cruiser, Regular, and Sports sectors. The mid-to-high-speed category will be served by these battery-powered motorcycles.

In the guise of a cruiser dubbed Yoda, Cyborg has also debuted the brand’s first electric motorcycle. Yoda will be the first totally electric cruiser produced in India with a battery swapping facility when it debuts. According to the firm, it has been tested in India’s roughest and most extreme terrain and climatic circumstances.

Features & Design

Yoda adopts a classic cruiser attitude with neo-retro aesthetic elements like round triple-beam headlamps, circular taillights, and turn indicators, as well as a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a split-style seat. It has a tall and wide handlebar that is pulled towards the rider, just like a traditional cruiser. The low-saddle position and forward-set footpegs add to the cruiser-friendly ergonomics.

Yoda will have LED taillights and turn indicators, an anti-theft alarm, a pillion backrest, keyless start, side pannier bins, and an adjustable suspension arrangement, among other things. Although the particular hardware configurations have been kept under wraps, Yoda appears to be equipped with traditional telescopic forks upfront and twin spring shock absorbers at the rear, based on the pictures.

Specifications & Additional Information

The company hasn’t published exact battery and engine parameters, but Yoda is said to have a range of 120 kilometers on a single charge. Ignitron will also work with local merchants to provide Roadside Assistance and CYBORG (Joule) Stations, which will be located every 1 kilometer. The company will also provide small home chargers that can recharge a battery to 50% capacity in thirty minutes.

The battery is portable, weatherproof, and touch-safe, according to the firm, and gives a backup of 4-5 hours when fully charged. It also comes with a 15 amp Fast Home Charger.

It has three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, each tailored to the rider’s riding style and needs. The motorcycle also has reverse gear and cruise control. It has Telescopic Forks in the front and a fully adjustable mono-shock in the back for an unrivaled riding experience.
