Ratan Tata drives an Electra EV Nano Electric, which was custom-built for him

Tata Motors is one of India’s top manufacturers of electric vehicles. Nexon EV and Tigor EV are the company’s most well-known electric vehicles. Electra EV, a Tata-owned electric vehicle powertrain solution company, has recently begun production of an electric-powered Tata Nano. Ratan Tata has been given one Nano EV, which is unusual.

On social media, the business posted a photo of Ratan Tata with his Nano EV. “It’s a moment of truth for Team Electra EV when our founder takes a trip in the custom-built 72V Nano EV, driven by the engineering strength of Electra EV’s powertrain!” the social media post added. We are ecstatic to deliver Mr. Tata’s Nano EV and learn from his insightful remarks.”

Electra EV uses a 72V configuration for their custom-built Nano EV. By altering the design of the Tigor EV (taxi model), Electra EV was able to increase the driving range to 140 kilometers. Without making any changes to the powertrain, the Tigor Xpress T EV’s range has been increased to 213 kilometers.

The Tata Nano EV appears just like a petrol-powered Nano in these images. With four doors and four passengers, it’s still a tiny hatchback. The car is now powered by super polymer lithium-ion batteries. The Tata Nano EV is expected to have a range of 160 kilometers and a time of fewer than 10 seconds to get from zero to sixty kilometers per hour.

Tata isn’t the first manufacturer to convert a Nano into a battery-powered vehicle. Ola, which has unveiled an electric scooter, previously launched a battery-powered version of the Tata Nano. A small number of electric Nanos were made by Jayem Automotives in Coimbatore.
